I have always loved architecture photography, not necessarily as a specialty of mine, but as something I deeply respect. I think there’s something so beautiful and appealing about straight lines and clear-cut corners. The way sunshine interacts with man-made structure to create shadows, sharp lines and hard edges. Dramatic presentation and attention to the details of geometry make the best of those pieces into beautiful photographs.

This photo was taken inside a music museum in Vienna, Austria. Below the glass ceiling sang a boys’ choir from England. Their voices bounced off the walls and spiraled upwards, hitting the ceiling and filling the courtyard with harmony.

I like this photo for the geometry, the lines, the reflection in the glass, and the blue sky above. It feels small because my 24mm lens wouldn’t allow me a wider view, but the absence of a real ceiling makes it feel taller and free despite the walls. I encourage you to keep shooting, find things you think are beautiful and photograph them. Friends, flowers, your pet; shoot what you find beautiful and you will always feel fulfilled.

Happy Tuesday.
