I don’t know this girl. I don’t know where she’s from or where she was heading. I don’t know her name or her background, where she went to school, what language she speaks, if she lives in Europe or is just passing though. But, this photo does show me she’s falling in love with a city.

And, for all the things I don’t know about this girl, the one thing I do is the one thing we have in common—that Budapest is a city you can’t help but fall in love with.

I love this photo because it’s the embodiment of my sentiment towards Budapest. She’s breathing in the city. It’s becoming part of her like it did to me. Once a place gets into your soul you can never get rid of it.
