I’ve been gone for a while; out of the country, out of focus, out of creative juice, and out of my blogging routine. I have all these good intentions of getting things done and being really productive and sitting down to write and when I do I have no words.

I was in Europe for 2 weeks, fought off jet lag, got back into the routine of being home, worked all weekend and now I’m finally getting around to sorting and editing the thousands of photos I took on the trip. Sitting down to write is a part of that process as well. I’m going to tell you about the trip as a whole, in a several-post installment, soon. But for now, I am going to just share one photo and one thought.

I haven’t shared too much about my job through my posts, but I ended up in Europe because of it. I never thought I’d work at a high school—much less a dean at a boarding school, but it’s been one of the best choices I have ever made. I love working with the girls and being able to see them grow and experience life; and this trip was so much of that for them.

Pictured here are 3 of my girls on the first full day of the trip. We were in Munich, Germany. We had taken a tour of the Dachau Concentration Camp in the morning and spent the afternoon at an art museum back in the city; this sculpture was on their lawn. Though no one yelled at us, I’m pretty sure we weren’t supposed to be climbing on the sculpture. It made for some fun shots though, and was probably just too cold for anyone to really care if we climbed it.

I’ll post again soon. Until then keep shooting, climb things you probably shouldn’t, and keep living beautiful lives. Love you all,

Courtney
