Location: McKenzie Pass, Oregon

We chose to shoot this skating session on McKenzie Pass, near Bend, Oregon in the early morning. We wanted to hit the road before many cars were out and while the light was good. While the 3 guys were longboarding I rode in the back of the SUV, driven by his dad. We opened the back hatch and I sat facing backwards, photographing the boys as they skated behind the car. To get back up the hill, they just grabbed onto the bike rack on the hitch and we pulled them back to the top for the next run.

I’ve been meaning to write a long blog post about this day at some point–and it will happen. I promise. But, I was getting restless to share some of these photos, because this was by far one of my favorite action shoots.  So, here’s a taste–more to come soon(ish).
